A Prayer for Resilience

Makor HaChayim (Source of Life),

Some days, I am so tired of being strong.

Tired of holding it together,

Of swallowing tears,

Of pretending I am not afraid.

On those days, Holy One,

Hold me when I cannot hold myself.

When my heart aches,

When hope feels painfully far away,

When I wonder how much more I can bear,

Remind me that even now,

Especially now,

I am not alone.

Give me permission to weep,

Courage to reach for another’s hand,

And faith enough to believe

That what is broken may yet mend,

Even if the scars remain.

Help me remember the storms I have survived,

The hands that have held mine,

The love that has carried me

When my own strength gave out.

And when I cannot see the way forward,

Give me just enough light

For one more step.

Chazak v’ematz (Be strong and courageous).

Not because I am unbreakable,

But because even in my brokenness,

Life still calls me forward.

And with Your help,

I will rise again.

Amen.
