Soul Returns

To daven (pray) with colleagues - rabbis and cantors - can be a uniquely uplifting experience. We share language, knowledge, passion, spiritual search, struggles with God...To daven when spiritually reflective colleagues lead the service is doubly engaging - they invest their leading with the answers they have foun and the questions that still consume them.This week at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality has been filled with powerful moments of prayer. Yes I bring home many ideas, melodies, kavannot (prayer thoughts). But more importantly, I will being home a refeshed Soul.Modeh ani lifanecha ... Shehechezarta bi nishmati - I thank you Source of my soul... for returning my soul to me again and again.
